Try, try and try again until you succeed
I am a firm believer in the Growth Mindset. We will not always be good at something when we first try it, but if we keep trying and we don’t give up, we will improve. We do not have to master everything we do. I have to remind myself of this whenever I am learning something new. I grew up at a time when it was common for teachers to comment on how smart a child is which can instill a fixed mindset in that child. This can be a problem for the child when they do struggle to learn something new because they could believe that they are already as smart as they can be. This is not good for obvious reasons.
